Bone Broth ‘Twix” Bars
These delicious bone broth “Twix” bars are a nutrient dense one-handed snack option for a new Mumma! They are so good they will be loved by the whole family!
These bars can be made without the bone broth, but trust me, you don’t even know its their and the added benefits are so worth it.
What you will need:
The crust:
1.5 cups almond flour
3tbs coconut oil (melted)
2 tbs maple syrup
1 tsp vanilla
1/4 cup peanut butter
The filling
1 cup peanut butter
1/3 cup maple syrup
1/4 cup of solid coconut oil (melted)
1 tbs bone broth glue (I use gevity)
The Topping:
I cup of chocolate of choice ( i love the brand pico original milk)
2 tbs coconut oil
Method:
In a large bowl, mix the almond flour, melted coconut oil, maple syrup and peanut butter until a crust like texture
Line your dish with baking paper
Evenly distribute the crust layer into the dish.
Pop in the freezer while you make the filling.
To make the filling combined the peanut butter, maple syrup, coconut oil and bone broth into a bowl and mix.
Add the filling on top of the crust and set in the freezer for 40 minutes.
Melt the chocolate over stove on a low heat, add the coconut oil in and stir. Once fully melted, gently pour over the filling.
Pop it in the freezer for 2 hours or until fully set.
